Subscription and Auto-Renewal Policy

Effective date
08 August 2026
Last updated
08 August 2026

In plain language

  • There are no subscriptions on Malath today. This policy is published in advance so the renewal rules are clear before anything is enabled.
  • Once subscriptions exist, no automatic renewal will start without your explicit consent.
  • The price, the period and the renewal date are shown before you confirm, and you can cancel at any time.

This summary is for convenience only. The detailed text below is what governs.

1. Current status

The current version offers no subscription plan, has no automatic renewal, and takes no recurring charge from any payment method.

Everything below is written as "once subscriptions are available".

2. Plan and price

Once subscriptions exist, the following is shown before you confirm: the plan name, what it includes, its full price in [To be completed before launch], and the length of the billing period.

No subscription starts without those details being visible to you at the confirmation step.

3. Billing interval

The billing interval is set when you subscribe (monthly, annual or otherwise), and the renewal date is calculated from the start of the paid period.

4. Automatic renewal and explicit consent

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it, and only after you have explicitly agreed to automatic renewal when subscribing.

This is not hidden or buried in secondary text. It is shown at the confirmation step itself, together with the next renewal date and the amount that will be charged.

Automatic renewal is never enabled implicitly or through a pre-ticked option.

5. Renewal date

Your next renewal date remains visible in your subscription settings once accounts exist.

6. How to cancel

You can turn off automatic renewal at any time before the renewal date, from your subscription settings or by writing to [To be completed before launch].

No reason is required, and there is no cancellation fee.

7. What cancelling does

Cancelling stops any future charge, and your access continues to the end of the period already paid for, unless stated otherwise at purchase.

Cancelling does not by itself create a right to a refund of the remaining time; see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

8. Price changes

If the price of your plan changes, we notify you a reasonable time before the new price takes effect and before the renewal it will apply to.

You remain free to cancel before that date if you do not want to continue at the new price.

9. Failed renewals

If a renewal charge fails, we may retry a limited number of times over a short period.

If it still does not succeed, paid access is suspended until the payment method is updated.

10. Trials and promotional periods

Trial periods or promotional prices may be offered for a stated length, published with the offer.

At sign-up we make clear whether a trial converts automatically into a paid subscription, on what date, and for what amount.

You can cancel before the trial ends without being charged.

11. Upgrades and downgrades

On an upgrade, the amount due immediately and the effect on your renewal date are shown before you confirm.

On a downgrade, the change normally takes effect from the start of the next period, and your current plan continues until then.

12. Subscriptions through app stores

If you subscribed through a third-party app store, billing, renewal and cancellation are handled by that store under its own policies.

In that case cancellation is managed from your subscription settings in that store account, not from within Malath.

13. Contact
